“Let’s Give Hawaii!” Campaign Launched to Help Those Affected by Kilauea Eruption

On the Rocks is teaming up with SimplicityHR by ALTRES, BAYADA Home Care, Lava Lava Beach Club – Waikoloa and Huggoʻs to raise much needed funds to help the victims of the recent Kilauea eruption who have been displaced since the eruption began in early May of 2018!

The “Let’s Give Hawaii!” campaign is modeled after the successful “Let’s Give Kauai” campaign that raised $57,000 for flood relief help to aid those impacted in the wake of the Hanalei flooding. Lava Lava Beach Club – Kauai organized the campaign along with SimplicityHR by ALTRES and BAYADA Home Care who each committed $10,000 to the Kauai effort.

On the Rocks and partners, BAYADA Home Care, SimplicityHR by ALTRES, Lava Lava Beach Club, and On the Rocks will be donating $10,000 to the Hawaii Community Foundation who set up the fund to accept all monetary donations. Hawaii Community Foundation will disperse funds to those needing help in the lower Puna area affected by the devastating eruption.

Those who also want to give can make checks payable to “Hawaii Community Foundation’s Let’s Give Hawaii” and drop it off at Lava Lava Beach Club in Waikoloa, Huggo’s or On the Rocks (next door to Huggoʻs)  in Kona. BAYADA Home Care will also accept donations at their locations statewide. In addition, Lava Lava Beach Club will also be setting up a Facebook donation page where donors can direct funds to Hawaii Community Foundation. (Click here to donate using the Facebook donation feature!)

“Lava Lava Beach Club and our partners are one hundred percent committed to helping Hawaii Island residents affected by the devastating eruption and lava flow,” said Lava Lava Beach Club’s Director of Operations Nick Roschi. “Although we are located on the west side of the island and about a hundred miles away, we are an island community and all of us want to help the Puna folks in need.”

We appreciate all the support and are humbled by the quick responses already!
